I realize the photos I just posted are really dark. A few weeks ago I got to go out to a friends with limited light pollution, when the moon wasn’t out and use both a new tripod and a remote. I ended up having to get a new tripod after the previous one literally fell apart in my hands. I also went ahead and bought a remote control to limit the shakiness of my night sky photos.

Going out there is a treat. Not only do I get to have a great time with a few friends, I get to experience small town life, I get to see the sky for what it is in it’s pureness. I remember a few months back I was out there, staring up at the sky and got to see many meteors, but there was this one meteor that stood out. It was bright orange tinged with red and was large. It lasted longer than any meteor I had ever seen and it left me speechless.

I live close to the city, street lights on every block, lots of traffic, and noise, so I don’t get to experience the quietness of the country often, but when I do, I cherish it.

Wow, sorry about the above.
Mouth vomit?
